Press > About NorthBridge |
 |
 |
The site:
- The site is situated to the north of Huntingdon just off Ermine Street, with the A141 to the south and the A14 to the West
- The land has been allocated within the Huntingdonshire Adopted Local Plan Alteration as a site for residential development since 2002
- Full environmental and traffic assessments have been carried out on the site and are available to the public on this website and at Huntingdonshire District Council
The Plan:
- Circa 1000 units
- Affordable housing will be located throughout the development
- New primary school, local shops, bus route, community centre and a family pub or restaurant
The Design:
- Landscaping is key to the design of NorthBridge – there will be open green spaces, parkland, wetland areas, woodland and sports pitches
- A foot / cycle bridge will join NorthBridge with Huntingdon town, providing a safe crossing over the A141
- There will be landmark buildings around the site such as the school which will adopt interesting architectural styles
Next steps:
- An outline application has been submitted to the local council. Once this has been approved, further detailed applications will be submitted and need to gain approval, then construction can begin
