Persimmon Homes are planning to create NorthBridge, a community of around 1,000 homes located off Ermine Street, just north of Huntingdon.
The land has already been allocated within the Huntingdonshire Adopted Local Plan Alteration as a site for residential development.
Persimmon Homes have now submitted an outline planning application to Huntingdonshire District Council as the next stage in the planning process. The application will establish the Master Plan design, assess any impact of the development upon the surrounding area, and determine the principles of development and the benefits it will bring.
NorthBridge will be designed to add extra community facilities, including:
- A reserve site for a new primary school
- Community Centre
- Local shops
- Public House / Restaurant
- Play areas and sports pitches
- Affordable housing
- Improvements to St Peter's school
- New and improved Cycleways and footpaths
- New and improved local bus services
The development will incorporate many open green spaces, water features and woodland areas and will provide a distinctive high quality design, within a setting which will compliment the surrounding landscape area.
