NorthBridge will create the need for enhanced educational facilities. A new primary school will be built on site, with extra land made available for future expansion if necessary.
It is intended that the primary school will be a landmark building within NorthBridge, with a distinctive architectural style. It will be located within the north eastern sector of the development, next to the sports pitches which will be provided within the open space area. There will be safe pedestrian access from all areas of the development to the school.
To meet secondary schooling needs, a financial contribution will be made to improve facilities at St Peters Secondary School. This is the preferred approach of Cambridgeshire County Council, the local education authority.
