NorthBridge will provide a broad mix of play areas, sports pitches, open green amenity spaces, wetland areas and woodland.
Informal and formal play and amenity areas will be provided in accordance with the National Playing Field Association’s recommendations. Further extensive landscaped areas will be provided in addition to the minimum standard allowance, inter-linked around and through NorthBridge via informal footpath networks.
It is intended that the footpath networks will extend beyond NorthBridge and link to existing footpaths within the wider open countryside. This will allow easy access to the surrounding areas. Negotiations are currently underway to create a footpath link safely across the A14 from NorthBridge, through neighbouring land and linking directly into the Hinchingbrooke Country Park.
